What’s Covered?

A Public Liability policy provides cover for a Franchisee’s business in undertaking it’s business activities forpersonal injury or property damage caused to members of the public.

The policy responds where the insured (the Franchisee) is at fault and where the activity giving rise to the damage is not excluded (exclusions are noted in the policy wording and accompanying policy schedule).The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd Tradesman Insurance 17 April 2015 – Policy Wording.

How do I make a claim?

Should you need to lodge a claim for Third Party Property Damage or Personal Injury to a member of the public you will need to complete and return the following form to Jim’s Insurance Services as soon as possible.

Your Policy Number can be found on your Jim’s Insurance Tax Invoice & Policy Schedule that was previously sent to you.

Public Liability Claim CHECKLIST:

  • Have you completed your claim form in full?
  • Have you dated and signed your claim form?
  • Have you provided details of your nominated Bank Account ?
  • If Third Party Property Damage, have you attached quote(s) for repairs?
  • Have you attached photos of the damage?

** Please be advised that if you have not attended to the above requirements, your claim settlement will be delayed.

GLASS CLAIMS

MOTOR VEHICLE GLASS CLAIMS:

In the event that you cause third party property damage to a Motor Vehicle (glass).

In the event that you cause third party property damage to any other glass (household or other).

In both instances you will need to quote your Jim’s Liability Policy Number, Identify yourself as a Jim’s Group Franchisee, provide them with:

  • Your name
  • Your Franchisee Name
  • A description of the Damage
  • The location of the Damage
  • Policy Number

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT & Trailer CLAIMS

Please note: the applicable policy excess of $250 each and every occurrence.

Your Policy Number can be found on your Jim’s Insurance Tax Invoice & Policy Schedule that was previously sent to you.

The Policy is underwritten by The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd.

Please complete the claim form below and refer to the Business Special Risks (Tools) Claims Checklist

Tools Claims – CHECKLIST

  • Have you completed your claim form in full?
  • Have you dated and signed your claim form?
  • Have you advised of your Bank details?
  • Have you attached original tax/purchase invoices for your tools?
  • Have you attached police report if the tools were stolen?

** Please be advised that if you have not attended to the above requirements, your claim settlement will be delayed.


PERSONAL ACCIDENT & ILLNESS CLAIMS

Personal Accident & Illness Claims are subject to “waiting periods” (an excess) as set out in your Policy Schedule and the PDS.

The waiting period for Personal Accident Claims is 7 days &
The waiting period for Illness Claims is 14 days.

Your Policy Number can be found on your Jim’s Insurance Tax Invoice & Policy Schedule that was previously sent to you.

This Policy is underwritten by Point Underwriting Agency.

Personal Accident and/or Illness Claims – CHECKLIST

  • Have you completed your claim form in full?
  • Have you signed and dated your completed claim form?
  • Have you provided details of your Bank Account?
  • Have you attached a Medical Certificate and/or Treating General Practitioners Report ?

** Please be advised that if you have not attended to the above requirements, your claim settlement will be delayed.


MOTOR CLAIMS

  • Have you attached a quote for the repairs?
